Privacy
Your people stay on your phone, never with us. Birdie has no server of its own, no analytics, no ads and no tracking.

What stays on your phone
The names, birthdays, photos and notes of the people you add, your own birthday, your reminder time and the videos you record. Birdie keeps them in its own storage on your iPhone. We never receive them.
Birdie's widgets read a copy on the same phone: the names, the next birthdays and the faces. It holds no years of birth and no notes.
Contacts
Birdie reads only the contacts you give it access to, to show their birthdays. For each person you add it keeps the name, the birthday and the photo.
Camera, microphone and photos
The camera and microphone record your birthday video. Photos you pick are used for the faces in Birdie. Birdie adds a video to your photo library only when you tap Save to Photos.
Sending a video
When you send a video, iOS hands it to the app you pick, and that app's privacy terms apply from there. With "Add a line under my videos" on, the message also carries a link to Birdie on the App Store.
Sign in with Apple
Apple confirms it's you. Birdie keeps your Apple user ID, and the name and email Apple shares, on your phone. When Birdie opens it asks Apple whether that sign-in is still valid.
Payments
Apple takes the payment. We never see your card or your Apple ID. Apple tells Birdie which plan is active on your phone.
Reminders
Reminders are notifications your iPhone schedules for itself. Nothing is sent from a server.
Backups
If iCloud Backup or a backup to your computer is on, iOS includes Birdie's data in it, under Apple's terms.
Deleting your data
In Birdie, go to You and tap Delete everything. That removes your people, notes, videos and your profile from the phone. Deleting the app does the same. We hold no copy, so there is nothing to ask us to delete.
Children
Birdie is not made for children under 13.
